Richard Stallman

Biography


Isam Bayazidi is an Open Source contributer, specially for the Arabeyes.org project. Mr. Bayazidi assisted in the initial stages of the foundation of the Arabeyes organization and acted as the translation project coordinator facilitating the realization of various Arabic Graphical User Interfaces (GUI).

In December 2002, Mr. Bayazidi was a speaker in the “Open Source Workshop” held in Amman-Jordan, where he presented a “Study on Linux Arabization”. As well, presented Open Source and Arabic language support in the Open Source Workshop in Damascus in March 2004. Today, he's chief editor in one of the most popular Arab Linux sites, Linux4arab.com, and a contributor to a number of Open Source and Open Content projects. He works currently in Freesoft Est. in Jordan, a software service company who's main focus is in Free and Open Source Software support and services.

GNU/Linux Desktop in the Enterprise

Linux had proved to be a valid choice and option for many computing fields. Recently it started to raise as a Desktop Operating System to be used in companies, governments, and educational sector. In this presentation, We will learn about what is needed for a large scale deployment of Linux for the Desktop. As requirements for Enterprise desktop are beyond the basic requirements for having a system run on one PC. As well, we will review some of the existing solutions and open source applications that can provide the requirements of the enterprise desktop.
